Introduction
to Scrambling

Would you like to take your mountain walking experience to the next level or even your indoor climbing skills to the mountains? Scrambling is a great way of experiencing the mountains of Snowdonia.

Summary:

Scrambling is a step up from mountain walking and involves using your hands as well as your feet.  On this course we will teach you all the skills needed to look after yourself safely. We may take on classic routes such as the Bochllwyd Horseshoe in Cwm Idwal.  No experience is necessary for this fun and social day out.

Who's it for?

Our scrambling course is for physically fit hikers looking to challenge themselves further in the hill. Some people come to scrambling with a hillwalking background and other come to scrambling from an indoor climbing background. Regardless we will ensure you have the skills to become independent and safe.

Kit Needed:

Basic hillwalking kit and hillwalking boots.

​Itinerary:

Our normal start time and meeting point is 9:00am at a local café. After a quick briefing we head out to our chosen destination for a day of Scrambling. We aim to be finished around 4:30pm.

How to book:

Open Courses – These are usually of mixed groups. Pleas e mail for upcoming dates.

Closed courses – These are for bespoke dates for groups . We do ask for a £20 booking fee and a minimum number of two persons.
