to Scrambling

Would you like to take your mountain walking experience to the next level or even your indoor climbing skills to the mountains? Scrambling is a great way of experiencing the mountains of Snowdonia.

Scrambling is a step up from mountain walking and involves using your hands as well as your feet.  On this course we will teach you all the skills needed to look after yourself safely. We may take on classic routes such as the Bochllwyd Horseshoe in Cwm Idwal.  No experience is necessary for this fun and social day out.

What you'll learn...

  • Scrambling equipment

  • Scrambling grading systems

  • Movement skills

  • Risk assessments on the go

  • Spotting and emergency ropework
