Learn to Lead
This two day course will give you all the skills you need to get on 'the sharp end'. Leading climbs requires being competent in a number of specific areas. Over the two days we will prepare you for the 'first lead'.

Summary:
Our Trad Climbing Learn to lead course will give you two days to learn the skills needed to be independent trad climbers. We will visit a few single pitch venues and show you a range of skills and techniques. Please note that leading is not necessary for this course, we can use top ropes for safety.

Who's this for?
Anyone looking to become a trad climber. You may or may not be leading at a climbing wall. You will have some basic understanding of lead climbing equipment and systems.

Kit needed:
All climbing kit is provided, including shoes and chalk. If you wish to bring your own gear that’s no problem.

Itinerary:
Our start time and meeting point is 9:00am at a local cafe. Here we will brief you on the days activity. From here we will set off into the crag for an exciting days learning. We may use different venues during the day. The course will end around 4:30pm.

How to book:
Open Courses – These are run throughout the year and may involve mixed groups . Please e mail for current dates.
Closed courses – These are for groups who would like a bespoke and private day. We do ask for a £20 booking fee and a minimum of 2 bookings. Please e mail for availability.
