Our Winter Skills Introduction course is ideal if you have never worn Crampons or used an Ice Axe before. This course is delivered in Snowdonia.

Our Winter Skills introduction course in Snowdonia is ideal for experienced summer walkers who would like to venture in the mountain when the ground conditions are wintry.

Who's it for?

Anyone who wants to start getting out in the hills in winter. This course is ideal for groups or individuals.

Kit Needed:

Mountain walking kit, Crampons, an Ice Axe, Goggles. You need to provide your own winter B2/B3 boots. We can provide Crampons /Ice Axe at a cost of £20 per person for the day. Please contact us to discuss equipment before purchasing or to check if what you have is suitable.

​Itinerary:

Our normal start time and meeting point is 9:00am at a local café. After a quick briefing we head out to our chosen destination for a day of Winter Walking. We aim to be finished around 4:30pm.

How to book:

Open Courses – These are usually of mixed groups. Pleas e mail for upcoming dates.

Closed courses – These are for bespoke dates for groups . We do ask for a £20 booking fee and a minimum number of two persons.
